There’s something creeping in the woods at night, something horrible that’s suspected to be the cause of all the disappearances around the small village of Rotheclaire. These creatures are what the villagers call ‘gypsies’. They come into the town, doing their mystical dances and casting all sorts of witchcraft on the people… but there’s always another side to the tale…

There are dark, hellish demons stalking the woods in the dead of night. They come into our camps, thirsty for blood, and they drag our people out of their homes into the cold to devour their souls; leaving nothing behind but a rotting corpse, teeming with scavengers for friends to find in dismay. Thus, we must hide in the small village at nightfall, if you really wish to be safe. However, there’s no hiding from Satan’s minions. If he doesn’t reach us physically, he will conquer us mentally by evoking rage against brethren. Ever since our faithful leader was taken, there was no one to guide us through these dark times… men rose to fill his position, and now their bickering never ceases.

Yes, these are certainly dark times. But instead of coming together like brothers that bask in the same light, we are torn by our differences and worldly desires. We will surely destroy ourselves before the ‘demons’ have a chance to step quietly into candlelight and reveal themselves.

Are these antagonists of the villagers really the gypsies?

Or are these antagonists of the romani really the minions of the devil?

Whatever they are, we’re all going to die…
